How sfwash Works

Requesting Service. Setting up service takes only a couple of minutes with our scheduling form. We pickup and deliver every weekday morning and evening in a time window you choose. We will text you the morning of your pickup or delivery to let you know your driver’s ETA within your chosen time window. Our drivers are sfwash employees assigned to your neighborhood so you will typically have the same driver each time you use the service.

Preparing Laundry for Pickup. If you are a first-time customer, and you don’t have laundry or garment bags, please put the laundry in plastic trash bags and put a note inside with your name. If you give us dry cleaning or launder and press, please put the pieces in a separate bag with a note that says “dry cleaning.” If you use plastic bags we will return the laundry in our sfwash reusable bags.

Or, if you have them, you can place your laundry into your own laundry bags (we are happy to use other laundry service’s bags as well). Please place any pieces for dry cleaning or launder and press into a hanging garment bag or into a separate bag with a note inside that says “dry cleaning.” Please don’t use open containers of any kind in order to avoid loss in transit. 

Our Cleaning Process. Your laundry is taken to our facility in the Outer Mission to be cleaned by experienced sfwash employees. Dry cleaning is taken to our Diamond-Certified dry-cleaning partner. Laundry is returned next-day in the same time window as pickup, and dry cleaning and launder and press is returned in 2-3 days (we will text you the day before dry cleaning is ready to be delivered to confirm delivery details). You can also choose same-day laundry delivery for a $7 fee (free on Fridays!)

Future Orders. After your first order you can quickly schedule future orders by filling out a short returning-customer form or by texting us. Our Textline number is (415) 943-4197 and to schedule service you can simply send a text that says, for example, “pickup Tuesday 9-12.” You can also email us at service@sfwash.com. Returning customers get 10% off their second and subsequent orders. See our pricing page for more details.

Schedule a regular pickup and we will pickup your clothes automatically on the day and frequency you choose. You can cancel a regular pickup anytime and change your schedule by emailing or texting us.
